Google DeepMind maps the world's forest types

Google DeepMind has presented a global map showing the types of forests on Earth. The map categorizes every 10-meter patch of land on the planet into distinct forest types. The project aims to go beyond simple tree cover and show what kind of forest each area belongs to.
